The wondrous place where everything happens. Vine to bottle.
Original in product, bold in flavours, and audacious in branding, Megalomaniac crafts wines of distinction—but with a touch of sass. Starting out in 2007 as a single vintage, and opening to the public in 2009, the Niagara-based winery has rapidly grown into a 60,000 case operation. With 110-acres resting on top of the Niagara Escarpment, Megalomaniac provides outstanding views making the winery a must-see attraction for both locals and tourists.

Winemaking in Portugal has a rich tradition as it goes back as far as the 6th century B.C. Traditional varietals were made for centuries and, in the 12th and 13th centuries, additional varietals were introduced from other areas in Europe. The 20th century provided new techniques for winemakers and virtually every area in Portugal became involved in winemaking.
Portugal has a large array of native varietals, producing an abundant variety of different wines. The wide array of Portuguese grape varietals contributes as significantly as the soil and climate to wine differentiation, producing distinctive wines from the Northern regions to the Madeira Islands, and from Algarve to the Azores.
Enjoy an evening tasting some of Portugal’s better know varietals. All paired with food to enhance their flavour.
Over the past seven years since Between The Lines opened, their process has been perfected through experimenting with various techniques and exploring inventive winemaking methods pioneered by our master winemaker Yannick Wertsch. The result is a distinguished portfolio of wines that posses a precise flavour and appeal to new wine drinkers and the most seasoned palates.
At Between The Lines, Yannick applies what he’s learned of various global winemaking styles to the winery’s processes. According to Yannick, he’s always looking for new ways to innovate such as pairing new winemaking styles with regional varietals. He’s also introduced new vines to produce different wines such as the popular Lemberger Reserve.
Throughout this adventure, quality and drinkability have remained the essence of what they do.at Between The LInes

Ilya and Nadia Senchuk had a dream to produce world-class, terroir driven wines in the Niagara Peninsula. The result is the stunning wines of Leaning Post Wines.
Leaning Post Wines epitomizes small-scale, artisanal wine making at its best.
In the words of Nadia and Ilya:
“A leaning post is what you find at the beginning of a row of grapes, anchoring the wires that are the frame-work for growing grapevines. It is the beginning of an obsession to translate a time and place into liquid. Leaning Post wines take you to that beginning by finding small, unique plots of land in Niagara and putting them in a bottle. Because after stripping away all the fancy buildings and high-tech equipment you are left with a place on this earth that grows wine unlike any other. When you taste that in a glass you just know it.”

The best way to explain the name of this iconic winery is to take the explanation directly from their website!
We believe there will always be a place in the market for really good, affordable wines, so that’s what we do.
meg·a·lo·ma·ni·ac/noun: overestimation of one’s physical and mental prowess, of one’s power; madness; delusions of grandeur.
I originally wanted to christen these wines in my name, John Howard…and then my good friends accused me of being yet another “(profanity withheld) megalomaniac”.
Regrettably, the name stuck.
Obviously, their philosophy complements that of London Uncorked. We take the stuffiness out of wine tastings. While we can educate you about wines, we can and always do have fun doing so!

Angels Gate Winery has been crafting excellent award-winning wines for more than 19 years. The secret to their success lies in combining traditional winemaking techniques with new-world technologies to produce wines with delicate balance, finesse and structure. Their wines are distinct and we strive to preserve each varietal’s aroma, acidity and structure.
To quote Phillip Dowell, Winemaker of the Year 2020
"It's all About Style"
"I like to make wines that are true to the vineyard and that show definite varietal character with a regional identity. But, the most important element that I strive for is elegance in wine."
AJ McLaughlin, General Manager, is a gifted presenter who will walk us through a variety of their splendid varietals.
London Uncorked is pleased to provide its members a new experience this year. We’ll be focusing on the wines of one country for our first event of our season. It happens to be one of the great wine producing countries in the world - Italy.
Many of the wine producing regions of Italy will be on display. Compass Beverages.ca will be providing an awesome assortment of their wines for your tasting pleasure. Delectable food pairings will be provided by Michael’s On The Thames. This is not a dinner event but a paired tasting so keep this in mind. if you’ve attended one of our events previously, you’ll know what we mean.
Wine Institute: California Wines Canada is responsible for marketing and promotion in the largest single-country market for California wines. As usual, each wine will be paired with food specifically chosen for this event.
In compliance with the Province of Ontario COVID regulations, all will be followed and observed to protect our members, guests and restaurant staff.
This will be an outdoor patio event as long as the Province and the MLHU allow this outdoor setting and gathering. RAIN DATE: MONDAY, JUNE 21st.
All wines will be available for purchase at the LCBO. Product numbers will be provided. There will be no purchasing at the tasting event.
A 'VIRTUAL' tasting experience: Enjoy the wines of 13th St. Winery from St. Catharines accompanied by superb food pairings from Michael's On The Thames (In Person and/or Virtual). Winemaker Jean Pierre Colas will lead us through a range of excellent varietals.
13th Street Winery, founded in 1998, was purchased in 2008 by the current owners: John & June Mann and Doug & Karen Whitty. Both families have deep roots in the Niagara community.
13th Street Winery evolved from a desire to create exceptional wines that reflect the unique terroir of Niagara, while also providing a place for guests to congregate and escape; to relax and discover; and to experience and learn.
Their promise is to produce the highest quality wines possible every year, at every price point. Their goal is to deliver a pure expression of the varietal and vineyard character, while respecting the influences of each vintage and every wine that we make.
Each year, Jean Pierre Colas (J.P.), their winemaker, searches for the very best fruit grown in Niagara. Often, this fruit comes from our 40+ acres; however, in some cases, one of the many excellent growers J.P. has worked with provides us with a small quantity of premium grapes to complement our own harvest.
Also located in the original property’s farmhouse at 13th Street Winery is the 13th Street Bakery featuring seasonal fresh baked goods (made on-site) and an assortment of jams, jellies, and preserves made with Niagara produce.
In November 2019, 13th Street Gallery opened its doors and now offers guests the opportunity to view and purchase a variety of paintings and sculptures that comprise the personal collection of John and June Mann.
Enjoy an evening tasting some lovely Australian wines picked by Annie Dingwall from Wine Australia. Annie will be joined by Mark Davidson, also from Wine Australia, to talk about these varietals. Depending on the restrictions in place, this will most likely be a hybrid event (in person and virtual).
This will be a truly informative event as you'll learn about the different wine regions in Australia. Most people think 'Shiraz' when Australian wine is mentioned but the wine making industry is much more diverse than you may think.
Adamo Estate Winery is located in the heart of Hockley Valley and in partnership with Hockley Valley Resort. The winery is the first full-scale winemaking venture to embrace the region's unique terroir and micro-climate conditions.
The winery uses the best fruit from their estate and from some of the top growers in Ontario. They blanket their vines in the winter to protect them from the cold and weed and pick by hand, and crush and bottle on site.
Adamo Estate Winery traces its beginnings to a rustic barn on the vineyard property.
The first 2,000 vines were planted on the property in 2011 and the vineyard has grown steadily each year. Adamo Estate wines are on the wine lists at a number of Toronto's finest restaurants
Shauna White, Winemaker: "We are part of an emerging region of amazing wine-making and our terroir-focused approach reflects our respect for the environment, our climate and our region. With that comes alliances with growers who share our philosophies and practices. Wine is farming first, and we want to show how it can be done in our region – and done successfully – by using organics and environmentally-friendly processes.”
